When will tickets go on sale? How can I save on tickets? Where should I park? Where can I get a bite to eat before the show?

When you work at Omaha Performing Arts, you get a lot of questions. I’ve had friends, family and even strangers on the Internet ask for my “insider knowledge.” But the truth is, there’s nothing secret about my answers.

In the OPA #Protip series, I will share bits of advice to help you have the most memorable and incredible experience possible when you come to a show at the Holland Center or Orpheum Theater. If there’s a topic you’d like me to shed light on, send an email to socialmedia@omahaperformingarts.org or leave a comment below this post.

Today’s topic: Group sales! We offer groups of 10 or more discounts on select shows. This can be 10 or more friends, 10 or more family members, 10 or more colleagues, 10 or more students – basically any 10 people who want to go to a show together and enjoy some VIP perks along the way.

A group of people stand under the lit up Orpheum marquee before Book of Mormon. A person in the foreground takes a photo of them with a cellphone. Everything is smiling and excited.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1. Round up 9 or more people you want to see a show with.

Step 2. Call Ryan Rhodes, our corporate and group sales representative, at 402.661.8516 or send him an email at Groups@omahaperformingarts.org.

Step 3. Tell him which shows you’re interested in and what dates work for you. He will fill you in on available discounts and help you secure seats together.

Step 4. Enjoy some other sweet perks! Groups enjoy reduced handling fees, flexible payment options, complimentary bus parking and personalized service with Ryan as your dedicated contact.

Step 5. Make lifelong memories at the show!

The fine print? Some Broadway shows require at least 15 people and not all shows allow group bookings. The good news is Ryan can walk you through all that.
