Cue the cuteness! Students at 15 elementary schools are busy rehearsing for school musicals through our Disney Musicals in Schools program. Performances begin this month.

Developed by Disney Theatrical Group, the program for grades 3-6 creates sustainable theater programs in under-resourced schools. Each year, we bring the program to five more schools in the area. Teachers participating for the first year receive extra support from our Teaching Artists to produce a Disney KIDS musical.

The students and teachers spend weeks preparing for their musical debuts. Along the way, students learn valuable skills in collaboration, creativity and accountability. Teachers see improvements in confidence and even classroom behavior. Watch the video to see the lessons learned!
