A community tribute to the legacy and influence of Paul Taylor
The PAUL TAYLOR DANCE COMPANY
is one of the world’s most celebrated contemporary dance companies. Based in New York City, the troupe was founded by Paul Taylor in 1954. Taylor performed in the companies of Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham and George Balanchine before launching his own.
Taylor’s work helped shape and define the art of modern dance in America. The accomplished choreographer passed away on August 29, 2018, leaving an incredible legacy of dance.
